Mahaba ya Lëwö,
It's the physical symbol of a love letter to Mayotte, it's the illustration in 19 months of a vision, doubts, challenges, procrastination, processes, successes, failures, self-knowledge and finally choices made over 7 years on my island.
I never wanted to create a clothing collection. I was looking for a way to express myself, my ambitions, my inconsistencies, my fears, my itinerancy and above all to weave a language with places.
This collection illustrates what I've learnt from our local crafts and origins, which took me all the way to Kenya and which I brought to Pointe Noire in the Congo.
This collection has reinforced my relationship with my environment and how nature, from the earth to plants, can colour and embellish a canvas.
Finally, this collection has allowed me to meet you, ‘wa maore’, who have loved and inspired me.
